- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup dates OR figs chopped
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine 1 stick , softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 orange segments 11 oz. , well drained
- 3 piece banana mashed ripe
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup cherries chopped & well drained
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips DARK
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease two 8x4x4-inch loaf baking pans.
Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well.
Stir together flour, baking soda and salt; add alternately with mashed banana to butter mixture, blending well.
Stir in orange segments, chocolate chips, dates and cherries. Divide batter evenly between prepared pans.
Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool; remove from pans.
Drizzle tops of loaves with Chocolate Drizzle.
Store tightly wrapped
CHOCOLATE DRIZZLE:
Combine 1/2 cup DARK Chocolate Chips or Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips and 2 tablespoons whipping cream in small microwave-safe bowl.
Microwave at MEDIUM (50%) 30 seconds; stir.
If necessary, microwave at MEDIUM an additional 15 seconds; stir until chips are melted and smooth when stirred.
About 1/2 cup drizzle.
